Rippin it all over Teton Pass. Stable snowpack hanging out the entire day with Fred. Incredible snow although warm storms keep on hitting the area. Get high is the key, were solo for the entire day. One of my best ski days so far….
Earning turns today, second lap ended up being a bit of a suffer fest for me. Great skiing made it worth the pain. 10k ft altitude clearly puts an extra workload on the body especially taking into consideration the heaviest boots on the planet: BD Factor. One of these days I shall put them to rest. The rest of the rig is performing beyond expectation the Fatypus skis are he best ones I have ridden in the backcountry so far.
Got guidance and great company by Kim, Sarah and Glenn.
Tomorrow we shall shralp the gnar at The Targhee Resort.
“Sir you have been upgraded on the flight between Heathrow and Denver”. Brilliant, what more can I ask for? When sitting down for this comfortable flight the gentleman next to me states he is returning from a 8week working trip to discover new football protégés in Western Africa….. I politely stated that he should not take it personally as I have serious issues with humans in general and their germs specifically. He stressed upon the fact that he had now fever which I appreciated.
Nevertheless, I am now settled in with our dear friends. Tomorrow is packing day and haul ass towards the Tetons!
